By Alexander "Wait, Was There More Than One Stone Age?" Smith

Collect goods and build your own prehistoric settlement in My First Stone Age. This light eurogame puts 2-4 players in charge of gathering goods such as fish or pottery and then exchanging these goods to build their settlement. This game has been nominated to receive the Kinderspiel award, a prestigious German Children's Game of the Year award, and we think that it is a strong contender to win the award.

Bubblegumshoe is an Adventure Mystery role-playing game that emulates the quintessential high school movie experience. Try to fit in with the cool kids, recover stolen bikes, and find out  who is spreading vicious rumors about the homecoming queen with this unique role-playing experience.

Join a secretive government agency in their quest to save humanity with the Atomic Robo: Majestic 12 supplemental rule book. Judy has been running some really cool games of the Atomic Robo roleplaying game at the store, and we're looking forward to seeing how super secretive agents spice up the relative humdrum of action science.

Back in stock this week we have Euphoria. If you haven't checked out this really cool dystopian worker-placement dice game, give it a shot. It's one of Evan's favorites, and he thought we were crazy for not having in stock anymore.

The players of Star Trek Panic boldly go where no Castle Panic player has gone! This light strategy cooperative game lets 1-6 players defend the U.S.S. Enterprise from Tholians, Romulan Birds-of-Prey, and other space threats. Take on the role of your favorite crewman and work together in this great Star Trek themed classic.

13 Days: The Cuban Missile Crisis is a two player strategy game where players play opposing sides in a high tension nuclear war scenario. If you've always wanted to play Twilight Struggle but never had enough time for a full game, 13 Days: The Cuban Missile Crisis is a great alternative.

If you haven't already played Kill Doctor Lucky, the release of this special anniversary edition is the perfect chance! We haven't had this game in such a long time, but now that it's being printed again, we're really excited to jump right back into this 3-7 player secretive murder game.

Neuroshima Hex 3.0 is an amazing chess-like, tile-based war game. Your hexagonal tiles will be stronger and weaker on different sides, leading to interesting strategic choices. This futuristic battle can be fought by 2-4 players or even played with a solo variant that introduces special challenges for one player.

Top That! is a fun stacking race where players must stack the pieces such that the grayed out pieces are hidden beneath the others. We tried out this game recently when a representative from the game's publishing company, Blue Orange, stopped by the store, and we really enjoyed this 2-4 player kids game.

Dominion: Empires is the new expansion for Donald X. Vaccarino's Dominion. One of the new mechanics that we've found particularly intriguing are cards that incur debt. You can purchase a card that might grant benefits greater than the gold it takes to purchase, but you'll have to pay an extra cost before you can buy more cards. With new landmarks and events, this expansion is great with the base game and brilliant with other expansions.

Imperial Settlers: 3 is a Magic Number really makes the number three something to think about; whenever you build the third building of a particular color in Imperial Settlers, you'll receive a bonus that changes each time the condition is met. The expansion also includes cards for multiplayer and solo games, so definitely a good choice for fans of the game.

The newest datapack for Android: Netrunner is here! Fear the Masses is the final addition to the Mumbad Cycle and contains a plethora of exciting new cards for the game's Corporations and Runners. I'm personally very excited about the new aggressively costed agendas and The Black File card which I'm sure will be a helpful tool for Runners looking to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.

New Arrivals 6/8/2016

by Alexander "Super Sashimi" Smith

Sushi Go Party! is a deluxe version of the super popular Sushi Go! The maximum number of players has been bumped up from 5 to 8, so even more people can enjoy this awesome drafting game! New cards like Green Tea Ice Cream or Edamame will give you additional choices and change how scoring works, making the game fresh and exciting.

Circuit Maze is an electric circuit making puzzle that is so amazing that we had to make an exception to our "no electronic games" policy when we got it. The goal is to use the pieces indicated in each of the different challenges, add them to the board, and power the lightbulbs by completing the circuit. Kathleen was completely absorbed by Circuit Maze when we opened it here in the store, we thought we might lose her to the game for the rest of the day!

Eldritch Horror: Signs of Carcosa is the newest expansion for the Eldritch Horror boardgame. Featuring the dreaded Hastur, this expansion adds four new investigators, new encounters, artifacts, spells, and unique assets that will add new layers of gameplay to your favorite Lovecraftian game.

We received several new roleplaying games this week:
Feng Shui 2 is a Hong-Kong action movie inspired game where you can blast chi from your hands, and take down the evil gang that controls the city from the shadows.
Force and Destiny: Savage Spirits is a new supplement for the popular Star Wars roleplaying game, adding content for the Jedi Exploration Corps and the worlds they venture to.
Savage Worlds is an amazingly flexible system that uses special rules that can make the games you play truly unique.

We also have 7 Wonders Duel in stock this week, and we're really happy to see it back. We've had so much fun with this game and it absolutely blows the original 7 Wonders  2 player variant out of the water.

New demos: One Night Ultimate Vampire, Circuit Maze, and Sushi Go Party!

Used Game Sale and Celebration of Gaming at Labyrinth!

Labyrinth loves summer, and one of the ways we show it is by hosting a Celebration of Gaming: our week-long event that kicks off with our annual Used Game Sale (more information below) and culminates in our Odyssey of Gaming event.

We're excited to announce this year's dates for the big week: July 30th - August 6th.

July 30th will kick off a week of crazy fun, including Labyrinth's annual store-wide sale. Select items will be discounted up to 50% off for clearance, and every customer gets to roll a d20 at the register to determine a discount percentage on all non-clearance sale items.

On August 6th, we'll host an all-day game-a-thon with tournaments for select games. Stop by for free birthday cake (we're celebrating Kathleen's b-day) and a chance to win great prizes!

Please note that the Used Game Sale dates differ from previous announcements about this event. Due to customer feedback, we are now holding the Used Game Sale on July 30th and 31st.

This year is the 5th anniversary of the Used Game Sale. On Saturday, July 30, starting at 1pm, we will have both live and silent auctions of the hotter ticket items. Sunday, July 31 will be the rummage sale from 11am to 6pm.

Throughout the week the store will host a special event each night to celebrate our favorite parts of gaming: board games, role-playing games, Magic: the Gathering, local game designers, and more. We'll have prizes and special guests, so mark your calendars for a week of fun! A complete schedule of events will be posted on our website in July.

For updated information on how to sell games and how to register as a bidder for the Used Game Sale, please see the Used Game Sale page on our website.
